Situated on a secluded, wooded peninsula along Norris Lake in Tennessee, this residence was thoughtfully sited to capture expansive water views from multiple vantage points while preserving the natural character of the landscape. The design responds to both the site's unique topography and climate through the integration of passive architectural strategies that enhance energy performance and occupant comfort. A restrained material palette of natural stone, wood, and glass, combined with clean architectural lines and expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing, establishes a strong visual connection between the interior spaces and the surrounding environment. The open floor plan is organized to promote effortless circulation and flexibility, extending seamlessly to generous outdoor living areas that embrace the lakefront setting. Every design decision from the home's orientation and massing to its custom detailing and sustainable building strategies was guided by a commitment to creating a timeless residence that minimizes its environmental impact while celebrating the beauty of its site.
